Threat of rain halted the thrilling French Open semifinal match Friday between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, who was leading two sets to one with the score tied 3-3 in set four.
The combatants walked off the court as fans jeered the decision to suspend the match. Shortly thereafter, heavy rains doused the Roland Garros facility in western Paris.

The match will resume at 1 p.m. local time Saturday. The winner will have little rest before moving on to play Stan Wawrinka in Sunday’s final.
The forecast Saturday calls for a sunny day in Paris.
The women’s final also is Saturday. Lucie Safarova has played brilliantly throughout the tournament and earned the spot for the butt-whipping she’ll take from Serena Williams in the final. Yep, that’s a not-so-bold bold prediction.
Saturday is great day for those of us who like a variety of sports. In addition to the French Open, there’s a full slate of Major League Baseball action, as well as the Belmont Stakes – the forecast is calling for sunny and 77 – the Champions League final in Berlin, and the Women’s World Cup begins in Canada.
There’s also third-round action in The Memorial golf tournament and the super regionals in college baseball is under way.
