Oh, snow. Bee gone

Posted on Updated on

Wait, did I just hear that snow has canceled a Los Angeles Angels spring training game?

Yes. Yes, I did. But not at the Angels spring training site in Arizona. The America League’s Los Angeles club was schedule to play an exhibition game Tuesday in Utah against its Triple-A affiliate, the Salt Lake Bees.

However, the game, is not to bee. (That’s just dumb.)

Snow fall this morning in Salt Lake has forced the game to be canceled. According to the Orange County Register, about an inch and a half of snow fell in 30 minutes in Salt Lake.

The game will not be rescheduled, so fans will miss out on seeing Mike Trout and a few other Angels’ regulars. However, the Bees are offering a sweet, honey-of-a-deal on ticket returns.

The Salt Lake club tossed a few photos up on its Twitter page today, giving us a look at the unbaseball-like field conditions at the team’s Smith’s Ballpark.
